Tips for Your Utah Ski Resorts Vacation
By | January 27, 2010
Utah is an exciting place for skiers and snowboarders alike. Utah ski resorts have a wonderful combination of professional skiers and boarders in nearby residence, excellent snow, and proximity to major airports. Whether you want to ski or go snowboarding (or even if you want to enjoy doing both!), Utah is a beautiful and fun place to plan your next winter skiing trip.
The two main areas around which the resorts are located are Park City and Salt Lake City. Because there are just so many ski resorts, it’s a really good idea to do your research in advance and decide which one is best for you. Of course, Salt Lake City and Park City are about a half hour’s drive away from each other, so you could visit both destinations in one trip! Salt Lake City has a big advantage in that it has a major airport that’s closest to both resort areas.
Try visiting several different online traveling agencies to get quotes on package deals available for Utah ski resorts. Focus on the time of year you think you’ll be traveling. You will find that there are a number to choose from. Depending on how much you’re willing to spend, your lodgings could range from a low-cost motel or hotel to a full spa resort.
Many of the packages that are on the travel sites will include bonuses like lift tickets when you purchase either a hotel stay of a certain length, or a combination of plane tickets and a hotel stay. It pays to shop around if you want to take advantage of these great deals!
And of course before you head off on your trip, you’ll want to comb through the snow reports of the area you’ll be staying at. You can also find maps of the ski runs available online from most of the Utah ski resorts. Think like a boy scout and be prepared! You’ll be glad you did when it’s finally time to relax and have fun on your trip.
